NDC Oslo 2016: Conference Insights

The Norwegian Developers Conference (NDC) is Europe`s largest conferences for .NET & Agile open space development but now it isn’t limited to these technologies. However, since then, the conference has come a long way. NDC conferences are currently running in Oslo (since 2008), London (since 2013) and Sydney (from August 2016).

This year NDC Oslo Conference was the 9th edition in the series and was scheduded from June 6-10 . A 5 day event with 2 days of pre-conference workshops and 3 days of conference sessions. 2000+ participants registered with 174 talks involoving 162 speakers on topics from various backgrounds like :

• Big Data
• Business Skills
• C#,C++
• Cloud
• IoT
• Machine Learning
• Testing
• Web Applications

So its not only focused on one track of the world it covers most part of the technology from human to robots and innovation to destruction, all under one place. Its a great way to socialize among peer developers and compete with them to be the best. Overall a fun event for devprenuers making them social and share their thoughts with great food and party. Apple’s WWDC 2016 : iOS 10 features

Apple in its World Wide Developers Conference announced the most awaited iOS 10. Nothing was missed from the things you love Apple for. New features like Animate Messages, Redesigned Maps, Memories in Photos and of course better Siri in more apps. There’s so much to say about iOS 10. Steps to Improve your Wifi speed

Ever wondered why your network speed is slow even when the service provider claims higher. As we all know Internet providers would never say the fact about the speed at which you would consume, it’s equivalent to asking a magician to sneak his tricks.

In this SMART world which is connected by every other gadget around, the medium through which they connect becomes a necessary and a concern. Hyperloop : Next generation transport system

  Hyperloop is a series of vacuum tubes that enables travelers to get from A to B in minutes rather than hours. Remember those vacuum tube networks that businesses used to use to send papers across large buildings or the Floo network from Harry Potter.Hyperloop is similar to that network, it is big enough to shoot people cross-country at amazing speeds.

This is how it should work like : imagine a revolver, yes a revolver!
1. Passengers are placed in a compartment which looks like a bullet.
2. Every bullet is loaded to the tube in the circular motion just as in a revolver.
3. It is then fired across the tubes 6 feet wide connecting two space.
4. Next, comes the message “You’ve reached your destination !”

Disco that flies and even you can control it

The Disco, is a fixed-wing design with a single rear 8-inch propeller. That’s a bold variation from typical consumer drones, which are almost exclusively four-rotor helicopters. It can be controlled via your iPad or dedicated RC providing live telemetry and flight data. Some spectacular features:

Microsofts one hand keyboard.

Keyboard operated requires just a thumb.

Remember the form factor of the phones of early 80’s and 90’s.Those were the days and as they say “History repeats itself” . Back are the days where bigger is better. Keeping that in mind Microsoft has launched a new form of keyboard which can be operated with the use of a thumb.
